About This
- Strategy Tabletop Board Game: Moon River is a territory building strategy game using open drafting and tile placement, where players expand a land they inherited along a famous river. They strategically add corn fields, meadows, forests… to their ranch. They locate the best plots of land to maximize their valuable resources and help their herds thrive.
- Kingdomino Collection: Moon River was co-designed by Bruno Cathala, author of Best-Selling Board Game Kingdomino. It uses the same mechanic to select dominoes and grow each player's land, and adds many other aspects and challenges to the game including a puzzle twist.
- Family Or Adult Strategy Game: This 2 To 4 Players game with a wild west theme can be enjoyed by parents playing with their children as well as adults. ALso plays well as a 2 Player abstract board game. It's a unique gift that will please any board game lovers.
- How To Play: You will build a personal landscape of tiles to score points, but instead of tiling dominoes in your landscape, the game uses half-dominoes in which one edge has a jigsaw puzzle-style connection. You combine two of these half puzzle pieces to craft your own dominoes. This mechanism is meant to provide more variability and randomization in each play.
- Instead of building your landscape around a central castle like in Kingdomino, you start from the river and expand away from it. Also, the crowns (i.e., the victory point multiplier) from Kingdomino are replaced by cow meeples, with players being able to use cowboys to move them. Moon River is easy to play for families enjoying other Blue Orange Award Winning games like Queendomino, Photosynthesis, Planet, Gobblet.
